We invite you to join us at ECCHR for the film screening of "You call me my friend, you call it love, but I can't trust you" (2-channel video installation, 42 min.) by artist Benjamin Dobó in collaboration with Anafee Fränznick, currently a critical legal trainee at ECCHR.

The film unfolds along the central migration route - from the Sahel region, Libya, Algeria and Tunisia across the Mediterranean Sea to the shores of Italy. In fragments, voices recorded in Tunisia recount their memories hinting at what they have experienced, lived, lost and dreamt.

The filmmakers spent three months in Tunisia gathering testimonies from people from sub-Saharan Africa living in Zarzis near the Libyan border. The work is an excerpt of the project "Struggle of fragments" (4-channel video installation,155 min., in post-production) and was previously exhibited at the 76th Locarno Film Festival's BaseCamp, Barac Mannheim and Haus der elektronischen Künste Basel.

In English and French with English subtitles.
