Dr. Patrick Kroker studied Law at the Universities of Leipzig, Trier and Lisbon. He worked as an assistant to Civil Party Lawyers at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia and in 2012 completed his PhD on the subject of victims' participation in international criminal proceedings at the University of Hamburg. He worked as a research assistant at the University of Hamburg and at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. In 2014, he was awarded a postdoc-fellwoship at Harvard Humanitarian Initiative and at Goldsmiths College London. Since 2014, Patrick Kroker is a lawyer with the Berlin Bar. Since 2015, he works in the International Crimes and Accountability program where he is responsible for ECCHR's work on Syria.
