Dave Youssef studied comparative literature at the University of California, Los Angeles, USA. His dissertation focused on the intersections between urban studies, medical humanities, German literature and film, as well as political theory. Since completing his PhD, he has worked as a translator and editor within a variety of fields, including psychology, technology, art, philosophy, the social sciences, as well as fiction. He was also a lecturer at the Studienforum Berlin from 2019–2021, where he taught interdisciplinary courses in German literature and cultural history. Since October 2021, he has worked as a translator and English editor in ECCHR’s Media and Communications department.
