Clara Gonzales

Clara Gonzales studied law at the Pantheon-Sorbonne University in France. After graduating, she worked for Human Rights Watch on the trial of Hissène Habré in Dakar, Senegal. In 2016, she co-founded the Fondation des Femmes in France where she  set up the legal task force to support advocacy and strategic litigation on women´s rights.She then specialized in corporate accountability working for the French NGO Sherpa on the Lafarge, Vinci and Perenco cases and for Greenpeace France where she led the legal fight against the French Big oil TotalEnergy.  In December 2024, she became co-director of the Business and Human Rights program together with Cannelle Lavite.
