Andrea Ries completed her M.A. in Social and Cultural Anthropology at Freie Universität Berlin in 2022. As part of a DAAD scholarship, she spent one semester of her bachelor's program in India. During her studies and afterward, she became involved in various activist initiatives and educational projects, for example, in the field of human rights at the EU's external borders, youth work, decolonization and exile activism.
Since June 2023, she has been at ECCHR, coordinating the Critical Legal Training program at the Institute for Legal Intervention.
