Magdalena Kaffai studied Comparative and European Law (LL.B.) and Transnational Law (LL.M.) in Germany, Spain and Italy. During her degree, she focused on international systems for the protection of human rights and conducted research on the rights of affected people in the Colombian transitional justice process. In Costa Rica and Colombia, she worked in the field of international cooperation, among others with the Delegation of the EU in Bogotá on the implementation of the peace agreement. At ECCHR, between 2019 and 2020, she worked first as a Legal Trainee and then as a Research Fellow across programmes. Since September 2022, she is working as a research assistant to the Secretary General Wolfgang Kaleck.
