Carsten Gericke

From 2003 until 2008, Carsten Gericke was a research assistant at the Institute of Criminology of Universität Hamburg’s Faculty of Law where he worked mainly on topics of international criminal law and criminal procedure. He was licensed as an attorney in 2004 and has worked as a criminal defense lawyer in Hamburg ever since. Until 2008, he was a member of the national executive committee of the Republikanischen Anwältinnen- und Anwältevereins in Germany, and from 2009 until 2013, served as the association’s executive director. He supports ECCHR's Border justice program.
