Jakob Wagner-Douglas studied law at the University of Göttingen and holds an LL.M. in Human Rights and International Law from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. During his studies, he worked as a student assistant and later as a research assistant at the Chair of Public International Law. He gained further experience during his legal clerkship as a legal trainee at ECCHR. After his Critical Legal Traineeship in 2024, he returned in 2025 as a Legal Advisor in the International Crimes and Accountability programme area.
