Nerges Azizi

Nerges Azizi is currently completing her PhD in Law at Birkbeck, University of London. She holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a double Bachelor degree in Political and Social Sciences from Sciences Po Paris and Freie Universität Berlin. Previously, she has worked as a Carlo Schmid Fellow at the Ethics Office of UNHCR in Geneva, as a researcher for the European Network against Racism (ENAR) in Brussels, and as a lecturer at Freie Universität Berlin and at Philipps-Universität Marburg, amongst others. Since January 2025, Nerges works as a legal advisor for the Border Justice program at ECCHR
