The ball is in the company's court now
This article highlights the role of transnational corporations, who often deny their legal responsibility with regards to their recruitment practices. Poor recruitment practice is an issue for compliance departments of companies working in a risk sector for forced labor, such as construction, agriculture and food-processing, hospitality, textile industry, electronics, domestic work or care work. High recruitment fees, related indebtedness and deception through contract substitution are specific risk factors for forced labor.
