Every year, the Bavarian Lawyers Association honors personalities who have made outstanding contributions to the legal system, the legal profession or society with the Max-Friedländer Award. In 2018 Wolfgang Kaleck was awarded this prize for his political and legal struggle to fight human rights violations and hold perpetrators accountable. In his speech, he talks about his work at ECCHR and calls on all lawyers to continue to speak out against injustice.
