Every year, the Bavarian Lawyers Association honors personalities who have made outstanding contributions to the legal system, the legal profession or society with the Max-Friedländer Award. In 2018 Wolfgang Kaleck was awarded this prize for his political and legal struggle to fight human rights violations and hold perpetrators accountable.
