The study examines four cases of serious human rights abuses in mining, textiles, agribusiness and medical products that show audits and certifications can increase human rights risks. ECCHR, Brot für die Welt and MISEREOR explore what it would take for auditers and certifiers to become human rights compliant – and what action is needed of certification companies, of their clients, and of the state.
