The German Supply Chain Act, which entered into force in January 2023, represents a phase shift in corporate responsibility. The law mandates that companies are now required to protect human rights across the entire network of their global supply chains. On the 10th anniversary of the collapse of Rana Plaza factory in Bangladesh – one of the worst industrial accidents in history – ECCHR filed its first complaint under the new law.
