Andrea Ries completed her M.A. in Social and Cultural Anthropology at Freie Universität Berlin in 2022. As part of a DAAD scholarship, she spent one semester of her bachelor's studies in India. During her studies, she first worked at the Disaster Research Unit of Freie Universität Berlin and later in a project at the University of Duisburg-Essen to support scientists and artists in exile. Alongside this, she has been involved in various activist initiatives, youth work and educational projects. Since June 2023, she has been at ECCHR, where she coordinates the Critical Legal Training, based at the Institute for Legal Intervention.
