Tobias Singelnstein is professor of criminal law and criminology at the Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. He focuses on topics such as social control, police and the judiciary as well as criminal law and procedural law – including malpractice, criminal investigations and rules of evidence, as well as data processing in criminal proceedings. He published several books and many articles on these topics. He is a co-editor of the journals Neue Kriminalpolitik and Kriminologisches Journal.
