Silvia Rojas Castro studied law at the National University of Colombia and public economics, law, and politics at Leuphana Universität Lüneburg, Germany. In Colombia, she worked for the research and advocacy organization Dejusticia on strategic litigation and women’s rights and sexual violence in the Colombian armed conflict. Later, she worked at the German Institute for Global and Area Studies in Hamburg and Polis180 in Berlin. After her legal traineeship with in 2019, she joined ECCHR in March 2020 as a fellow in the International Crimes and Accountability program, working mostly on projects related to Latin America.
