Rieke Ernst studied Sociology, Politics and Cultural Studies at the Humboldt University of Berlin. After her degree she worked in the fields of art and film, including at the art collection of the German Parliament and as assistant editor at a film production company. For the past two years she has been a member of the curator team for the short film festival "Wendland Shorts" in Germany. In March 2018, she joined ECCHR as Office and Event Manager.
