Maria Bause studied international relations and international criminal law at the University of Sussex, UK. After that, she worked in public relations and political communication in the pharmaceutical, chemical and digital industries in Brussels, Belgium, Berlin, Germany, and Montpellier, France. She worked for a wide range of public and private clients in PR agencies, associations, the European Parliament and NGOs. Since September 2020, she heads ECCHR’s Media and Communications department.
