Alternative Nobel Prize award-winner Amy
Goodman from Democracy Now! speaks with attorney Wolfgang Kaleck about
the latest report of the US Senate. According to the report, former
defence secretary Donald Rumsfeld is directly responsible for the
abusive interrogations of detainees at Abu Ghraib in Iraq, Afghanistan
and Guantánamo Bay. Kaleck, General Secretary of the ECCHR, had sued
Rumsfeld twice in Germany. The Senate's armed services committee
concluded that Rumsfeld's approval of aggressive interrogation methods
in December 2002 was a direct cause of abuses that began in Guantánamo
and spread to Afghanistan and Iraq.
